Meet Your Hosts!

Bryon and Marilyn Wiley purchased Rancho Viejo in November of 2022. Since then they have been creating, cleaning and building the ranch into their dream home and farm. This couple makes a great team! Bryon has acquired many skills over the years and you can see his hard work and creations all over the 20 acre property. The big red barn used to be a simple, open pole barn. It's now enclosed in the bright red metal siding. The fields around the property that were all overgrown are kept neatly mowed. Several dead trees were removed. New fences were installed. Two greenhouses were built, along with a fully enclosed garden area. Bryon's handy work is evident from one end of the ranch to the other.

Marilyn has been a professional artist ever since she could hold a pencil. If Bryon built it, she probably painted it. However Marilyn's 'fine art' works are mostly in pencil and oils. She is currently working on the wheel with stoneware clay. Her subject matter is western and southwesten themed. Some of her recent works will be available in our tiny gift shop. Marilyn is also an author of three books. One of which is titled 'Buffalo Chips and Co'. It's a true story of her adventure driving a team of horses and wagon across three states. Nobody knows raw RV'ing like Marilyn!

Marilyn is also an avid gardener. Prior to purchasing Rancho Viejo, she and Bryon owned Bloomerang Iris Farm in Wilhoit, Arizona. Scattered around the ranch are some of the tall bearded iris from the farm. Bryon and Marilyn love to give tours of the greenhouses and garden to their visitors. Just contact them for a time and day. Fresh veggies are available in season!
