Location
Rancho Viejo is located 37 miles north of Lordsburg and I-10. As you leave the desert floor on Hwy 90 you will gradually climb to the Continental Divide. The country changes from desert to rolling hills covered with oaks and pine. You will pass an enormous pyramid looking landmark along the way which is the famous Tyrone mine. A few miles further is the tiny community of Tyrone. Across the highway from the Tyrone post office (mile post 37.5) is county maintained McKinney Rd. There you will exit Hwy 90. It will take you to Old Ranch Rd. Turn right and drive to the tall overhead ranch gate just ahead. The charming old mining town of Silver City is just a few minutes away with plenty of stores, restaurants and shopping!
